    Great modem that works with Xfinity plan

    After being notified from Xfinity that my old modem didn't support the connection speeds offered for my plan, I purchased the Netgear CM1000 modem to take full advantage of the upgraded speeds. And after a quick call with Xfinity support to register the new device, I can happily report that my internet connection is indeed faster (up from 150mbps to 350mbps), and I haven't had any connectivity issues. I'm very happy with this product! :)

    Lame, it won't connect to a standard N600 LAN wifi router

    PSA Totally lame as this modem will not connect to Netgear N600 wireless router even with the dedicated LAN wire connection. Of course because Netgear wants to make sure its products have planned obsolescence indeed. So had to purchase a new wireless router as well, did NOT buy a Netgear product specifically for this reason. And Netgear customer service pathetic, how difficult is it to answer a simple question referring to the CM1000 modem not being able to connect to the N600 router. Derrrrrr.

    Love Netgear!

    Netgear is who I trust & is Very Easy to setup. I bought this new modem to replace my old one due to getting 1gb internet very fast speed on Download and Uploads. Buy your modem and save hundreds of dollars on loaner fee from your ISP. Must get. I also use the Netgear Nighthawk X6 Router. Compatable with All wifi products & Amazon products. Including light bulbs, security systems.
