"Avatar: The Last Airbender – Book 1: Water – The Complete Collection" follows the story of a 12-year-old boy named Aang, who is the "Avatar," a reincarnated spirit whose duty is to bring peace and balance to the world. Aang awakes 100 years after disappearing from history to discover that a war between the Fire Nation and the other three nations has devastated the world. Throughout Book 1 of this animated series, Aang is accompanied by his friends, Katara and her brother Sokka, as they begin to learn what must be done to end the war.
