Classic flick - terrible "restoration"
What a colossal disappointment. Nice packaging, but this could be the worst-looking "restoration" of a film I have ever seen. The picture and sound are muddy, blurry, lacking in clarity and resolution. The opening scenes of the Theatrical Cut are so "red" it looks like the negative was damaged...and the later scenes have poor color balance and the contrast is completely off. It looks defective. The Argento cut has similar issues - opening scenes are "red" and the entire thing is muddy looking -- but not as bad. I didn't bother watching the Cannes cut. No point. Did anyone at Second Sight Films actually view these discs before they went out? As an aside...Argento did a terrible job editing his version. I'm amazed "Zombi" was such a hit in Europe. I returned this set to the retailer (which cost me a 25% restocking fee, but it was worth it - this set certainly isn't).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
