    2nd Generation MY Ring

    My ring is very easy to install and if you have a mains-powered bell at present you can use those wires to power your Ring. We bought the Chime as well so you can have if you want, the doorbell chiming, your old doorbell chiming, and your Chime chiming. You can turn off your doorbell if you wish. The video recordings are very sharp and if you want you can answer your doorbell from hundreds of miles away with the audio in/out feature. Brilliant

    Poor to no motion detection

    Received my new ring door bell, installation guide was easy to follow (been a Cctv engineer for 8 years) battery life seems good and the overall look of the device nice good, however the device I received, seems just to be a door bell with a camera the motion detection is only triggered when directly in front of the doorbell or movements about 1m away but only ever to the right hand side, I’ve tried numerous thing as in moving the ring and changing the angle up down left right, all of the things ring tech support told me to do with in the settings and still nothing, considering you can buy a full Cctv camera system for £200, I’d probably recommended that

    works well but needs subscription for best features

    while it is a very stable device compared to some cheaper clone alternatives, i would not have bought it knowing that a monthly subscription is required to use all the features, like video recording and playback. the device works as a video doorbell without this subscription, but i will look for an alternative next time. the subscription is only about £3/month, even so, i prefer to buy outright.

    Easy home security with great features

    A high quality doorbell easy to install with walk through guide on the app if you need it. Installation screws and a screwdriver supplied in the box. Superb image quality and plenty of options for customising alerts and motion detection. A great feature is the ability to use it as an intercom, so you don't even need to leave your armchair to deal with unwelcome visitors. Highly recommended for peace of mind.
