    Simple and effective

    V brake pad material and profiles have evolved during the years making V brakes very effective at stopping your bike. They are lighter than disc brakes and simpler to maintain. If you are not going downhill for a living. Keep or get these Shimano M600 Vbrakes and add some KOOLSTOP pads for superb stopping power. These can get you over the handlebar if you are not used to this combination.
