Easy and Simple Audio Streamer
The Sonos product world is the best in the business when it comes to home audio streaming. It is definitely not the cheapest option available, but the simplicity of setup and then ease of use can make up for that. Basically you plug it in to power and the network and in a few clicks you have it setup. Then you just login to your preferred streaming audio providers and off you go. Nice but needs a few things
This is great maybe should be 4 stars - love the fact you can que songs first device that i have found that you can. Since most of the things it does it does well i will simply list what needs improved. Output sound quality is good but not as good as some of my other sources. Keep in mind im picky. I have seperates and my speaker setup is thousands by itself. Needs a video out so you can display what is playing on TV and have video settings so you could watch crazy things jump around to the beat of the music like everything else has. SONOS making expanding easy...
It took all of 5 minutes to have this added to my existing set up. Like speakers it allows me to control its volume independently. This allowed me to add my very nice home theater equipment in to my SONOS sound stage which also free'd up 2 Play 1s that I can use in other places. This is a great option for people with higher end speakers/amps that have SONOS in use other places or just want to use the SONOS ap. There are some odd volume issues presented by this unit since you end up with two volume controls. In any case I am a SONOS fan for ease of use and the ap. Though the sound is good, higher end sound quality people may want to look elsewhere, which does allow this unit to allow use of the SONOS ap which is great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Still the best...
I keep looking for alternatives... Airport Streaming, Chromecast, Polk Omni, Etc., but none of the other solutions work as well and provide the ease of use, feature set and integration as Sonos gear if what you want is a wireless distributed home audio system. Serves up audio delights from many sources
This device does an excellent job of streaming from a variety of sources. Aside from the usual cast of characters: Spotify, Tidal, Soundcloud, etc., the unit also handles pulling music in multiple formats off a server. The only difficulty in setting up this aspect is that the naming of drives must be in a PC format: i.e., "\\Music-Backup" not the various network drive names returned by either a Mac or Linux machine: i.e., smb://Music-Backup. Without attention to this detail, connection to the server is not possible through the app. I found the Android app for using the Sonos Connect easy to use and connects well with all the various services. The system is responsive and gives us access to all our music while delivering excellent quality. I have mine connected to a tube amp, and it sounds great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Awesome way to integrate an existing High End Audio system with Sonos!
An excellent way to use the Sonos already awesome products with your existing high end stereo! The whole Sonos system is easy to use and set up for my existing music and for streaming Amazon, IHeart, etc. I have two of these, one on my Living room movie watching system, and one in my Garage/workshop. Still running strong
This is an older Sonos Connect. I was a little startled when it required an actual Ethernet connection to set up. Working through this detail was pretty easy though.
