    The item was a great price and arrived quickly. Unfortunately it was damaged, potentially in transit as the box was battered and ripped. I notified the seller and asked for an exchange. The seller replied within a day and said they did not have a replacement they could send, so instead refunded me the total cost. This was really kind and much appreciated! Wonderful customer service!

    Great seller for value for money and speedy delivery. They only let themselves down with the very poor packaging. Book came in just a thin plastic parcel bag. The item was still as described but with corners more dented due to the poor packaging. I recommend seller as they are honest and great for value. However, be aware that the packaging gives no protection from bending or dents from the delivery process. Hopefully they will address the packaging issue 😊

    Dated but still very useful and has a certain charm about it

    It is quite dated now and almost certainly doesn't reflect the modern day Greek culture. There are no references to things such a mobile phones or the internet and many of the narrative descriptions relate to a time when chaps sat in cafes with a small cup of coffee and a liqueur playing cards (with never a woman to be seen). So, very much of its time but with a certain charm and nostalgia. As for the language aspect - it was designed to accompany those rather lightweight language learning programmes from the BBC that were always shown on a Sunday morning at 11.30am or thereabouts that had no pretensions other than to teach you the very basics of the language. Would I recommend it - yes, definitely. Good for nostalgia and it would definitely be a help in learning the Greek language if used ...
