The Aviator is one of the better stories from the 1980's
The Aviator very much departs from the Superman role that Christopher Reeve has done over the years before his accident with the horse. I don't think the swear words muttered were not needed but it's part of the character's back story. It has stayed with me over the years since watching it in 1985 when it was the high flying adventure with pilots and the women- they have to save the day. This character of Edgar was blaming the death of one of his students learning to fly during WWI -the great war. He carrys the death with him and wants no part of being married. Edgar learns that there is more to flying than just flying with a high headstrong women character. It's a story that makes you feel that you can do anything you set your mind too.....Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
