    Better and the 8th generation

    Its better and the old one ! 8th generation was ok but needed minimum of 2gb ram and type c cable. Last one tock 6 or more hours to charge the new 2020 takes 4 hours to charge. So when you make the next one get the charging down to 2 hours for full charge and you be up there with Samsung. Every kindle iv bought iv put android on it ? Why dont kindle do it? They would sell a hell of lot more

    Two words - ridiculous aweful.

    I understand that for this price you cant expect anything fast or with great displays, but for this price I would rather buy a chair, it would be more helpful. The OS is awful, advertisement is everywhere, there is no good apps, there is no even a YouTube. And speaking about speed, it’s uselessly slow. I was buying it for my 6 years old daughter , but now I feel bad for her. Don’t waste your money, better buy some fruits.

    It's good but ..

    Great as a tablet for browsing and for reading Kindle eBooks. Big limitation is that you have to get apps from the kindle app store which has a smaller range of apps than the Play store. For instance you won't be able to get the normal web browsers and you are stuck with having to use the Silk browser (Amazon's own browser) which is ok but not brilliant. If you just want a tablet for a reading books and a bit of web browsing, emails etc , this device will suit you, but if you want a tablet with the same apps you gave on your phone you will have to go for an Android tablet.

    Great value for money.

    I have always had a 10.1 tablet so was a bit dubious about getting this one. I needn't have worried. This tablet does everything needed. Superb battery life, I keep looking to see if it needs charging as my old tablet needed charging frequently.. Absolutely delighted with it.
