    Water level controlled bypass switch

    This product has on/off threshold level difference (hysteresis) of 3.75 inch or so. It operates by a magnet actuated relay. Magnet integrated by top of push rod while the relay-switch inside a waterproof casing. A vertical hollow cavity in the casing let push rod move up-down inside freely. Spurious switching or switch ceased may occurs if cavity-magnet are gum up with debris, if sump water level frequently swamp the cavity-magnet when pump is running, when water enter sump faster than pump can evaluate. A more recent better alternative is a buoy style piggy tail assembly float switch. It is maintenance free also allows separate (average level) and (on/off range) setting. The range settings will vary with water temperature because is lower grade (flexibility) cable used. A more preferable cable type is made of silicone rubber and high strand conductors.
