  • Good rack for inventive sounds (is not a modern amp modeller)

    The one I got needed a bit of work on it to get it working (hint - if it is behavingly oddly, may be the backup battery - a cheap 1.5v 2032 one - or the battery compartment - clean it, do factory reset). If you are wanting something to do guitar amp simulation etc, this is not it. I got it because it has a lot of editable, weird, sounds lurking within it, and sounds surprisingly clean for 20 year+ old unit. The effects come in preset "algorithms" which you can edit, but you cannot create completely new sets of fx from scratch, you have to fit them into one of the many "algorithms" availble - but within that, lots of good fun (and the "big" reverb on it is surprisingly tweakable) - the TSR24 version has two channels, and a couple more FX, but this is a decent rack for someone who wants ...
