Based on the autobiographical short story by Truman Capote (IN COLD BLOOD), this inspirational drama tells the story of Buddy, a seven-year-old boy abandoned by his parents and living with his spinster cousins in the rural South. The film is set during the Christmas season, and presents a tender look at Buddy's close and loving relationships with his far older relatives, Sook (Patty Duke) and Jennie (Piper Laurie).
