    Superb quality item with great looking artwork and illustrations.

    As a player of the previous edition i have had experience with D&D and by far this is the most satisfying edition. It brings in all the information needed for the player throughout the game without having to get the DM to reference each statistic or effect. It's all there. For new players its an excellent start as its a simple system and explains everything with a straight forward approach, it even provides some monster stats in the back of the book for the player so they can test play characters and effects against them to see if it is their style before a game. Altogether it is a must have for Player and DM alike when playing D&D 5th Edition and it is worth every penny with its superb quality guaranteeing a long lasting life if looked after.

    Great but SO MANY TYPOs

    There are so many typos in this manual that I'm wondering if it's a copy rather than an original. How can something this well read not have had these corrected by now? Did no-one prof read it? Easily one typo per page. Every (except for headings for some reason) time 'orc' occurs in the manual it's printed as 'ore'. But there are lots and lots of other typos and weird corrupted words. I can nearly always work out what the intent of the sentence was but it's surprising that SO MANY errors made it to print. That said it's a good manual, sturdy hard-back construction. A few things could be explained better but all in all still worth purchasing, unless there is a newer edition or re-print available in which case (assuming the errors have been fixed) I'd recommend getting that edition ...

    Good value and useable but a good few typos!

    This book is usually about 40£ so it was a bargain price and totally useable - however there are numerous spelling/print errors so wondered if reduced price was because this was a scrapped version/edition? It hasn’t affected its usefulness but would be good to highlight that it isn’t a mint copy in case buying as a gift.
