Wonderful set of DVIDs!
I purchased this DVD set for my father who loves the old westerns. The set was all I had hoped for with good story lines for that time period and being able to get all the seasons produced was a fabulous treat. bring back the good ol' days
Decades ago, television producers actually made quality programs. The Big Valley series captured the ruggedness and roughness of the ol' West, while at the same time, showing some of the good sides of it as well. A must for your cowboy library
They couldn't have picked better actors to play their character in the show. Barbara Stanwyck is fabulous as Victoria Barkley, the gutsy but also feminine mother. Linda Evans as Audra, the beautiful daughter who sometimes can be pushy and other times naive. The handsome three brothers, Richard long as Jarrod the lawyer, Peter Breck as Nick the ranch Forman, and Heath as the illegitimate son of Victoria Barkely's dead husband Tom Barkley. Each episode you takes you back in time to the 1870's California, and the Barkley family being rich and important people.
