    Great wide angle zoom for Micro 4/3

    I am a real estate photographer full time, and a landscape photographer on the weekends. I was using a 7.5mm prime lense which was just a little bit sharper, but with the additional focal lengths, autofocus, and wheather sealing, this lease is a great replacement. Side by side, there isn't much of a difference in sharpness to bother me, and overall image quality is great. I use this lens for paid real estate work, and have no issues with it whatsoever. I've attached some photos taken with the Leica 8-18 at various focal lengths. Sharpness is consistent from edge to edge. No noticeable distortion, easily corrected chromatic aberrations if they ever show up (but I've not noticed much).

    Asome wide angle lense

    I had Olympus ZD 9-18 mm 4.0-5.6 so I compare this lense with legacy 4/3 lense. Very impressive built quality. Sharp image on open from edge to edge. Silent and realy fast focusing, absent hunting if compare to 4/3 lenses on O-MD EM-1 Mk II. You can use it with regular screw-on filters. Worht evry penny spent on it.

    Amazing lens

    My go to lens for most of my shots. The zoom at different focal lengths is ideal and versatile. Pin Sharp glass, chose this over the Olympus due to the filter thread

    Panasonic 8-18mm

    So far I'm finding this lens to be well built, sharp, fast focusing and overall a desirable lens for the M43 format. Although not cheap, it is a good value I believe. I detect a small amount of focus breathing during manual focus, not a issue for me. Very little curve-linear distortion, even at 8mm. I put off buying this lens for too long, should have just saved up the money and bought it. The 8-18, 16 to 36 in FF equivalents, is a very handy range.
