I work as a counselor in an agency in Oklahoma. I mainly purchased this book to use for group therapy with both teens/adolescents and elementary age children. Each week the group focuses on one topic. We are able to actually choose some of our topics based on ideas listed in the book. I have found that I am able to easily adapt the ideas for the particular age group I am working with. I like this book for several reasons. This book provides ideas for a varity of topics. It is clearly written, easy to read, and easy to understand the craft suggested. It also lists suggestions for discussion, questions to ask, yet also leaves it open for you to come up with your own interpretation.
I bought this book (104 Activities that Build) b/c I am a therapist and I work with children. I used this book when I interned at an Elementary school and loved the activities in it. I've been looking for an affordable copy and decided to check on half.com and ofcourse I found a great deal. This book has so many great ideas to use in therapy groups and it also provides the questions to ask to facilitate a discussion. I would definitely recommend this book for school counselors or therapists who work with children.
This book has many great activities!!!
