Great quality, not easiest to work with

This is a great quality tool, steel is hardened and extracting pins are perfect fit for PSU connectors, and they are not bending at all. However, although quality is great I do have issues with this tool. Handle is too small and too thin and because of that it is impossible to put additional pressure when extracting pins, without leaving marks on your palm and finger. Larger or cylindrical handle would be much better solution. You will have to decide for yourself whether this tool is a good value for you, as there are pin removal kits consisting of 4 tools that are cheaper than this one. However, quality of those sets was questionable for me so I did not want to take chances and I rather went with seller I was confident in. If handle was better I would of give 5 stars to this product, ...

  • Most critical review

Good quaility, but flimsy and difficult to use

This is made from sping steal, which is high quaility. However, it’s not at all very aesthetic to use, hurting your hand. Also, as the metal “pins” are so thin they break so easily. Not to mention it doesn’t do it’s job very well. You are meant to push it in then be able to pull out the pin from the other side of the connector, but in no way is it that easy. Mine ended up snapping after spending 2 hours doing 6 pins. Ended up finding it much easier and quicker to cut the wire, sleeve, then solder and heatshrink.

  • Awesome tool; does the job; Slightly expensive but worth every penny in time saved!

Did the job perfectly. I had to remove a full 20 pin, 24 pin and 2x 8 pin connectors and it did them all with ease and shows no sign of cracking or fractures. The rubber does a good job insulting your hand from the sharp metal. It's a tad expensive for what it is. But if it means it lasts longer then I guess it's worth it. Tried paper clips and found it too fiddly.

  • It works with modification.

The problem with this tool is not that it doesn't work, it does, but it required a slight bend in the tip about 3mm from the end to fit in the connector. What actually worked the best for me was a large push pin used on my cork board at home. I still like the tool and was grateful for sturdy make of it. Thanks.

  • The only extractor tool you should even consider

Compared to other extractor tools, especially those on eBay, none of them come close to the quality and durability of this one. Instantly removes pins with no extra pressure and no bent prongs after a week of use.
