A Lovely read of the History of Ashburton, including pictures and memories of my mother sister and myself in photo's, no mention of my grandparents who ran many pubs in the town( Bee and William Martin) and had cottages in Back Lane (Stapleton Lane)and The London Hotel were I was born in September 1946,also My late Uncle Russel Martin who swam up North Street during the floods. Thanks for a most enjoyable read with many Historical Facts.and Figures. Thanks for the memories. Edward Lutley.
