I bought two similar touches about 20 months ago--both have failed with probably the same fault. Unfortunately cant get them apart to attempt a repair. The previous units had PIR motion sensors which I didn't want, but these units are better has you can switch off the night light so that the torch only comes on during a power cut. Lets see if they last more than 20 months though...

Good Safety Torch lightweight and easy to use.
Good torch which is not heavy and the background light turns on when it gets dark, making a hall, passage, kitchen or room light enough to see the room layout find light switches and not stumble into a misplaced chair or toy. When the lights are on the background front light goes off. The battery light comes on in a power failure easily removed holder with 2 brightness levels of the main torch beam. As above, im still waiting for it to arrive after a couple of weeks, to be honest I probably could have made one myself quicker, this is a replacement for an elderly relative that relies on this type of product, as the other stopped working if I knew it would be this long I wouldn't have ordered it

Useful and convenient torch to have in the house
Bought this to replace a previous rechargeable torch which failed after several years. This new one is much improved - brighter light and nightlight feature can be switched off. Very pleased.

Best all rounder
This torch has helped me load. I’ve bought another one in the past and does not do the job. This is a night light, turns into torch and lasts all night. Bright enough but not over whelming . I don’t write reviews but for this I have as a parent it’s the best one you can get
