You'd think they'd chew through the mesh but his collie never did and mine doesnt. I ought to have bought a larger one though as my collie puppy has outgrown hers already. It's a well made carrier. Just one thing though in the rear of car if the back seats are laid down to allow room for the carrier it will roll over in transit with dog inside if not anchored somewhere in car.
