    Will do the job.

    These will do the job but you will still have to hold pressure on the pliers to keep rings compressed to get in bore. I recommend if doing this often to get a tapered ring compressor sleeve.

    I wouldn't buy.

    The smaller size wouldn't compress the ring enough at the opening of the band, the larger size wouldn't compress enough as the band hits it self. The plier is limited by the cylinder studs. In the end after fighting with the tool for a couple of hours set it aside and did the old way by hand in 10 minutes.

    Works just like it's supposed to work.

    This design has been around forever, so it's nothing new. It appears to be of good quality; the bands are stamped with the size range, which is handy. The ratchet holds the bands well.
