Makes a tricky job easier
The applicator they include with the product has a profile to give a consistent line along the join. This is much easier than the freehand method with other products. If you're going behind a tap, though, there may not be enough room to get the angle right and you may benefit from a bought-in one as well (also on eBay) that you can cut in half. The curing chemistry seems an improvement over traditional products, now managing the job without smelly acetic acid.The applicator they include with the product has a profile to give a consistent line along the join. Inconsistent feed
I was really looking forward to having a go at revealing my bath as it had started to leak. Opened the packet and it all looked pretty straightforward. I had previously prepped the site for sealing as advised in the pack. The first run was great and excited me as I thought 'this is easy enough' but as I continued, the unit had a LOT of air gaps in the sealant inside the tube so it came out really inconsistently or not at all which meant I had to stop and shake the sealant down to the tip. It turned out to be REALLY REALLY messy. In it's favour, it dries quickly and the 'edging' tool is quite good when you can get a good run. Oh, and it was impossible to seal behind the taps which meant I had to do that bit by hand. Would I buy again? - probably, I'd stand the tube in hot water for half ... waste of money using this new applicator
i'm not sure if the sealant is any good ,only time will tell ,my gripe was getting the sealant out of the new style tube without the top keep popping off and making a mess . when squeezing this tube air gets trapped in the sealant .we ended up cutting the new tube in half with scissors to get our fingers in . this is an expensive waste of time .we also tried covering old sealant more mess and a rubbish finish (please remove old sealant first) i would strongly advise you use an old fashioned sealant tube with a gun . i'm not sure if the sealant is any good ,only time will tell ,my gripe was getting the sealant out of the new style tube without the top keep popping off and making a mess . when squeezing this tube air gets trapped in the sealant .we ended up cutting the new tube in half with scissors to get our fingers in . this is an expensive waste of time .we also tried covering old sealant more mess and a rubbish finish (please remove old sealant first) i would strongly advise you use an old fashioned sealant tube with a gun .

value for money?
Well, I needed some sealant for the edge of the bath in a hurry so ordered up this Sealant. Its easy to use and does the job ok, but so do many other products which come in a long tube ( cartridge ) and then are applied with a frame style cartridge gun. They are a third of the price of this product normally, and up to three times as much sealant. So if you don't have that gun applicator and its only a small job, then this product in its own application tube is possibly a good alternative, but if you are doing a large job, then this product I'd SUGGEST is most likely not for you.Well, I needed some sealant for the edge of the bath in a hurry so ordered up this Sealant.
