Good Ear Protection
I bought this kit as a trial because I don't really get on too well with the normal disposable plugs for my motorcycling needs. Reading reviews by others I took note of the quick 'curing' time so set out to perform the task quickly. The product works well if you work fast. The procedure's simple but I could only get two sets of plugs made from the mixing kit. However, I find the finished article excellent. Comfortable and much more efficient than any other 'disposable' plugs that I've used. Not enough for trial and error
Here is my experience with this item. Firs of all, the final result will mostly depend of your skill and speed when working with this. In my experience, when you combine the two ingredients, they start curing FAST, first time i tried to mix them they got too hard before I had chance to mix them completely. So I changed my mixing method and finally made it in time to put it in my ear. After 10 minutes its over. Then I tried to put on my helmet with these plugs inside my ears and it didn't work out for me. My helmet is a tight fit and putting it on was very difficult, it tended to catch on the plugs because even while being flush with my ear, they are still massive and don't allow your ear to be compressed a bit until the helmet is on. Also I would like to have received more of it because of the necessary trial and error. PS. The two small containers were not completely filled in my order. I guess that would solve most of my issues, allowing me to make a second smaller pair. I was able to make 1 bad and 2 "good" earplugs with the amount I received.

Mouldable ear plugs.
Easy to mix and has a quality feel when solidified however bit difficult to judge how much to use. Sound protection reasonable but could be because I didn't use enough. Would be better supplied in single measured amounts. All in not a bad product and if mixed right would compete with professionally made earplugs.

Feb 20 - this is my second purchase, this time made them smaller and not so high into the top part of the ear and the fit is better and staying in place has improved. Difficult to judge but a small heaped spoon of each wored for me. Also this has enable me to get three pairs out, each time improving the fit. Worth a try but recommend start small unless your ears are big, hmm.. Nov 19 - My first attempts with the initial purchase were reasonably good and work fairly well; I have found when turning my head with the crash helmet on they do come loose after a while. The first batch I think I've made too big; so this time I plan to mix slightly smaller amounts but also press a little harder into the ear to perhaps locate better when fitted. Also by mixing smaller amount this time and hopefully ... Great alternative to the more expensive type.
As I was having diffculty inserting and keeping in my old ear plugs I thought I would try these. It took me a couple of goes but they worked very well. I made a small hole through to allow some noise, I can hear my intercom clearer now and with greatly reduced wind noise. I shall save and get the pro fitted version one of these days just for the best fit. Great product.
