I have used several of the taps and dies now and while the dies I have tried are OK the taps are terrible. Firstly all the taps had burrs on the cutting edges which had to be removed before use. The M5 taps were ground such that they do not cut a thread at all, not even in aluminium, and the M6 taps are so soft that they stripped while tapping cast iron. I may be able to re-grind the M5 taps to work but there is nothing I can do about the ones which are soft. My conclusion is that this set is not just usable, don't waste your money, buy a proper HSS set.
