I am a little reluctant to write a review of this camera since I now own three of them! I love this camera and should I need to buy another, I don't want the demand to go up. Which would force me to pay more. I am a semi professional photographer and I have used this camera to take many wonderful images that I have sold. This camera is intuitive. I have a Nikon D3100, and it is not intuitive. It will do everything you want, if you can wade through all the features and if you take the time and I mean lots of time to learn how to use it. This camera has a nice 4X optical zoom, a large view screen, and an optical eyepiece that allows you to focus, compose, etc. in bright sunlight; most of the newer cameras do not allow this. The best pictures are still taken in good lighting conditions. This camera takes great closeups (flowers, documents, etc.) It has a large lens for a camera this size and it is a Zeis lens (one of the best lens making companies in the world). Most of the time I shoot great images on the 3Meg setting, and I get good results when I print pictures on the 13 X 19 printer that I own. Pixels are not important beyond this setting unless you use a tripod. Most of us don't. It does have a tripod attachment hole. On the down side: Sony is proprietary with it's memory cards, but you can find Lexar cards that work. However, the sony cards work fine, I have never had one go bad in 11 years of using Sony cameras. The required camera - USB cord will allow you to hook this camera to your TV and show a slide show, something you might do before you load your pictures to your computer. It downloads pictures quickly and I have never had a problem with this. The flash works well at various distances. But is only truey effective for 15 feet. The movie feature is good and produces a good smaller image, but this camera if convenient since it fits in almost any pocket. Even after I tripped and fell on this camera while protecting my Nikon which I was holding at the time of my fall, (the Sony was in my pocket), I was still able to take good pictures using the eye piece since the view screen broke. I am a mountain climber and the idea of taking my Nikon up Mt. Rainier this past summer was out of the question, but my Sony went with me in my pocket.Read full review
I originally had a Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 in black. My son got it and turned it on to watch videos and pushed the lens in so now it's broken. I wanted another Sony Cybershot because I like the product and I had the accessories for it already. I found this one for a great price, lower then the cost of repair and the only thing different is the battery. I am so glad I got this camera. The extras on it are amazing. I can play music and look at the pictures I have taken like a slide show. I can also play the music when watching a video. It had great special effects as well. What I really like is I can use the zoom when taking video. That is nice. There are many features I have not tried out yet but I am excited to discover the full potential of this camera. The logic is a little different then the older model I had but it was easy to figure out without having to pull out the book. I love this camera!Read full review
I owned one of these cameras before and sent it with my husband on deployment. I bought the same camera, only in higher megapixels and found out i could not switch the memory cards in and out of each one to view videos from my husband overseas. This camera takes great pictures for only being 7.2mpxls , the video quality and play back is superb. Great camera. Great seller.
I bought the camera to replace my NEW one that was stolen. It looks very good, but had 2 tiny tiny ding-spots. Hardly noticable to the eye. I have been using it for 2-3 weeks and it works fine. I paid $30 more for the used camera than I did for the new one but I wanted the Pink W120 and could not wait any longer. I just need to purchase a warranty for it. I do love the SONY with the Zeis Lens. I notice the newer SONY Cybershots have SONY lenses. I love the music Slide-show playback feature! 7.2 Mega pixel is ENUF ! It's so small it goes everywhere I go and I whip it out and take pictures instead of writing NOTES! It's a great notepad for me. It uploads easily and online batteries and photo chips are cheap on line. Overall its a great little camera that takes fabulous photos. The Micro feature is wonderful too. I could compare some of my micro shots to my Sister's $1000 camera! No kidding.Read full review
Good pictures can come from a small camera. We have bought 3 so far. Clear pictures for the amatuer or pro alike. Easy to use and has some fun features like adding music to your slide show in the camera and then playing it on the t.v. Sony has stop making this model and the thing I love about it over the newer versions is the View Finder. Granted, I don't always look through it, but when your outside taking a picture there is nothing more scarey then just seeing your reflection looking back at you in the wide screen viewer. The lenses seem to be high quality. The last one I bought was used and probably dropped because the lens movement is noisey, but it still works and takes good pictures. I think Sony made me a believer in their products hope the quality remains with them. rural-artist :)Read full review
