Good value for money
I've used this Comma 15w/40 X FLOW mineral oil in my VW air-cooled camper van because it has a standard engine which has a gauze strainer, not a conventional filter, so mineral oil is required as it allows contaminates in the oil to pass into the gauze strainer. Modern oils keep contaminates 'suspended' so a conventional oil filter can clean the oil and collect the contaminates. IMO 15w/40 it's a good compromise between SAE 30 mono-grade ( a bit thin and 'old technology') mineral oil and 20w/50 mineral oil (a bit thick IMO for the UK climate). The oil in air cooled engines also acts as a coolant so it needs to travel through the oil cooler at an adequate rate to be cooled efficiently. Comma has great value lubricants
15 40 mineral oil was used for most classic cars it can be used for petrol and diesel engines. I have always used comma and castrol lubricants. I find this type of oil is better for all year protection and it’s elements cold and warm weather. Hope this was helpful thankyou.
