    Creative souce for those who create

    I bought this book because I enjoy the crystal & creations from Rene Lalique. I also wanted to see, up close his art so I could gain ideas & foster new ideas for myself in my crazy quilting & other arts I like to do. This book is just what I wanted & more. Reading about the life of Rene Lalique & seeing how he tried new ideas, methods & forms, not the norm, makes me realize that part of creating anything, is sometimes very different than others. The book talks of his life & the training he had as a young child & man. It tells how, when an opportunity presented itself to him & he was really unsure if it was the best, he stepped into the breach & found his life of art. He was talented in jewelry, architecture & glass, an artist at all of these. As I was reading, I thought of all the ...
