Worth the few extra quid for a branded Italian make over Chinese manufactured copies
Had to buy this after skimping and making the mistake of buying a cheaper non-branded Chinese manufactured version. Which was naturally not as well made, didn't pour without spilling and wasn't made to the same standard. So, by buying cheap, had to buy twice and didn't make the same mistake, stuck to looking for a genuine Italian brand and wasn't disappointed in this Bialetti make. Don't make the same mistake.Had to buy this after skimping and making the mistake of buying a cheaper non-branded Chinese manufactured version. Which was naturally not as well made, didn't pour without spilling and wasn't made to the same standard. It leaks, the bottom is convex and rocks, I paid top dollar for it and got a second quality item (badly casted). Not pleased at all. But I learned my lesson. many thanks.

Don't use soap or it'll mess with the taste. In Italy we have a saying '' the more you use it, the better the coffee gets'' and this is true! Highly recommeded!
