      MIDWAY COLLECTOR'S EDITION

      I already had a DVD of this but loaned it to a friend who somehow never returned it. He must have enjoyed it as much as I do. if you can skip over the parts that were fabricated to give the story more of a human interest, the remainder is fairly close to the actual accounts. Some areas were shortened to keep the story within the DVD time frame,but it is still fairly close. I recommend it to others (my wife might not because she has already had to watch it more times than she wants to). super movie.

      ''MIDWAY'' 1975.

      This original 48 year old movie, filmed in 1975 and released in theatres in 1976, is still a classic. The remake, filmed in 2018 and released in theatres in 2019, told a little more of the story. But the orignal will always be the best version. The TV director's cut was better as it told more about Charlton Heston's fictional charcter and had more action scenes.

      Really good movie, for the most part the director did a really good job of following real historical events, I enjoyed the movie very much. DVD is in excellent condition and was shipped quickly.

      DVD displayed what I thot was probably an accurate description of the various phases of this very important turning point in the Pacific war of WWII, if true to real life, an amazing real life story!

      "Midway" says it all, if you are a WWII buff.

      This is a great portrayal of one of the most important US victories in WWII, coming only six months after the attack on Pearl Harbor. This is the first time I have seen the battle depicted on film. Very informative and entertaining. Loved all of the first-rate actors who worked on the film.
