    Ventures - More Than Surf Rock

    Good music from my youth. I like the Ventures In Space CD because it is a departure from their standard formula at the time. If you like good arrangements, instrumentals heavy on clean guitar, played at the highest level then you will like the Ventures. Overall it's great musicianship from the sixties.

    The Worlds Best Rock 'N Roll Instrumental Band

    Since 1959 The Ventures have sold over 200 million albums. They were inducted into the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame on March 14th, 2008 after a 49 year run of successes. Nokie Edwards, the lead guitarist is one of the worlds best finger pickers and innovative guitarists. Guitarists such as David Gilmour of Pink Floyd listened to Nokie and The Ventures to learn how to play guitar. After more than 50 years their music still sounds fresh and innovative. This CD is a double album from the 60's but it is still fresh, innovative, and the masterful guitar sounds are amazing. Don Wilson is on rhythm guitar, Bob Bogle plays the bass, and the fantastic Mel Taylor on drums. It just doesn't get better than this!

    Retro, like living back in 1967.

    This Ventures CD is awesome. Brings me back to the mid-sixties! I had bought this exact album in 1966 when I was a teenager. My friends and I started a rock band back then and we played several of the hits on this album. Like Green Onions, Tequila and some. The hit titles on this same CD are the exact tracks on the 60's vinyl album(original). I have enjoyed playing this CD over and over again. This is a great purchase I have made for my Ventures collection.

    The ... - Ventures (CD 1996) Rock & Roll Revisited

    Sadly it is getting more difficult to locate quality classic rock in the new cd formats with out paying an arm and a leg. This cd has all the classic hits of the premiere rock and surf guitar band of all times. Any musician who came a long from the late 1950's on were influenced by this super group. I would recommend this cd to any one who likes guitar, classic rock and the feel of the wind blowing in your hair as you tool your 1957 Belair Convertible down the coast highway.
