The first thing that struck me upon receiving this item was how well made every item appeared to be. The next thing I liked was the instruction booklet which I found clear and concise, and which, in addition to a number of recipes, contained good tips for making a variety of ice-creams. I particularly bought the model with two bowls because it obviously allows one to make two different types of ice-cream and, in the unfortunate case of breakage of a bowl, still allows one to use the maker. I had this for my birthday and it makes the most delicious ice cream it is easy to set up and as long as the mixture is well chilled it make ice cream really quickly, having the spare bowl is also very useful to make two different flavours at the same time all in all a wonderful present

The machine works and is of good quality. I just hope someone on the design team takes note: Loop a longish piece of ribbon into the bowl cavity before loading the bowl. Better still, tape it securely to the outside of the bowl prior to freezing. It will make lifting a very cold, laden bowl from a snugly fitting machine. Yes, the designers and/or production engineers seem to have forgotten that an iced up bowl can be difficult to remove without handles. Really enjoyed using this. Out of box with bowl frozen overnight and next day was onto it. Made straciattella vanilla ice cream/gelato (just drizzled hot dark chocolate into it at end). Tasted fantastic but after left in freezer overnight had better consistency and big winner with family.... some of whom don't like ice cream much.
