Seller highly recommended! Item arrived new as described. Packaging was thought out and eco friendly. Shipped carefully wrapped in thinner paper to protect the books, inside recycled cardboard to keep the books from damage, with sturdier paper on the outside. Even though it was shipped media mail it arrived in about a week! Normally media mail takes longer (from places closer to me!), I suspect magic may be involved!

Recommended seller, would definitely buy from again. Books are reasonably priced, shipping is a great deal, took the time to pack well, great selection. Adding this store as one of my favorite book resellers on eBay!

  • In the Year

This book is certainly a juvenile chapter book. The book's readability is probably 3rd to 6th(easy) grade. I do not recommend it as a challengeing read. The main character, Shirley, goes through small ups and downs caused by a culture clash as she becomes used to leaving what she has known in China and acculturates herself in the United States. Children enjoy reading about how he seems to get something something wrong in almost every chapter until it's happy ending. Worth reading for understanding some challenges particular to Asian-American immigrants or immigrants in general.

  • Good book

I'm a fourth grade teacher and my students love this book.
