Product Information

Make precise measurements with this set of metric micrometers with precision-ground anvils. This set includes four sizes of micrometer: 0 to 25 mm, 25 to 50 mm, 50 to 75 mm, and 75 to 100 mm. It also includes three gauge blocks, in 25 mm, 50 mm, and 75 mm sizes, as well as two service spanners. All tools can be stored in a wooden case.

    Ideal for diy work

    These calipers are ideal for non seriously accurate work. Down to 0.01 resolution with an accuracy of +/- 0.01 depending on how accurate you are calibrating them. If you spend some time adjusting them and keeping theme well lubricated they work very well considering the price. The box isn’t worth keeping as it’s cheap and nasty but the calipers themselves are allright for the price. To adjust the scale is the same method as with mitutoyo calipers under the end thimble wheel and oil the main rotating body, this will become loose enabling you you to move the scale anywhere you like to zero it. The. Reattach the thimble to lock it back in place. There is a very good help guide online. I would recommend these gauges for anyone doing roughing out work and checking things a little more ...

    Micrometers

    With this product you get what you pay for, ergo... four badly made comparators. The thimble was loose on the 0-1. The anvils on all of them are not square, the 75-100 anvils are off centre by almost 1mm and the setting gauges are just as badly made. However, I bought these knowing they are not going to be Moore & Wright's, but that makes them perfect for carrying in the van. They are cheap to replace if they get stolen or damaged, that means I can leave my Mitutoyo's by the lathe...

    excellent value for money for non profesional everyday use

    Having now retired (almost) from having to go to work I have taken up model engineering. I have over the years amassed quite a lot of equipment but not evr had much for accurate measuring. Decided to get this set as it would cover about 95% of what I need to measure. I would recommend them, they arrived nicely presented with all you need to check and set them in a reasonable box. I have checked all mine since they arrived and ars spot on so hope that with being used with care they will last me out. I would like to point out though that whilst these are perfectly goog items they certainly are not in Moore and Wright league for quality and ridgidity but as stated for careful use outside the workplace they are more than adequate. The price does say it all as with most things but don't be put ...

    Good tools in a rubbish case.

    So far, they all seem well made and accurate. But I've only had them a couple of weeks The closing clips on the wooden box are awful. I have removed them and keep the box inside the poor quality Jiffy type envelope until I find a more durable container.
