    Fantastic read!!

This book tells the true story of two people in a hopeless situation that find hope and love. They manage to survive amazingly against the odds and have a full life together. I throughly enjoyed reading this book, it brought me on a rollercoaster of emotions as I took care of Holicost survivors. It brought back memories of stories they had told me of their own survival and made me remember what amazing things ordinary people can do! I loved reading this book!!

  • Most critical review

if your looking for a love story this might be right up your alley

the book was written with "flare" by a professional writer , i feel this is of a serious subject matter and i'm looking for cold hard facts , not something that is partially made up to attempt to make me feel good . just not my taste however several people have raved about this book so i leave it up to you . its inexpensive so its hard to complain about it

  • Highly recommended

Not an upbeat subject, but the author's finesse in telling this story drew me in completely. Despite the despicable treatment the prisoners experienced, the sense of love and humanity came through very clearly. Lale Sokolov was a remarkable man: smart, brave, and strong, yet soft enough to fall completely in (everlasting) love during the harshest of times.

  • Just read it /you won’t regret it.

So to Be honest I am Not quite done reading but I can already tell you I plowed through this/could Not put it down and when I did put it down (because there are things you need to do in life other than read) it was on my mind. I have even been dreaming about the characters in this book. I have read many, many books from this era/subject matter but this one will remain in my heart.
