    Very nice model car, it reminds me of my first car!

    The first car I ever bought and owned was a 1976 Ford Maverick, baby boy blue in color, with a 6-cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. The model I bought here was a blue 1974 Maverick, with the 6-cylinder engine featured under the hood. I had to laugh when I opened the door of the model and found a floor-mounted stick shift! The model reminds me very much of the '76 Maverick I was proud to own. I was VERY impressed at how safely it was packaged! The model was screwed into a mounting base, with rubber bands to keep the doors and the hood closed. The box was securely taped shut to keep it from popping open, and it was wrapped in bubble-wrap to keep it safe and secure in the shipping box.
