    Amazing saw.

    Really good saw. Very well made, precisely engineered components. It is quite heavy for mobile use but that's not a major issue. Would recommend to anyone. Comes with a makita blade in the box and makes a really nice cut.

    Misaligned blade relative to rail

    I love this machine, it is a beast, but I found mine to have a misaligned blade relative to the sliding rail and there is no adjustment to correct this. I used a dial gauge for calibration and found the blade to be out relative to the rail by 0.8mm across the blade diameter. This means I could either calibrate the back reset to the rail or the blade, but not both. So the blade tracks across the work piece at an angle. I don’t know if this issue is just with mine or if this misalignment is within Makita’s manufacturing tolerance.

    Awesome

    Cordless has come a long way. This saw cuts 4 inch timber with ease and precision and as I do do work on remote sites, being battery-powered is incredibly useful. I've used the mains version and this feels as powerful.

    36V makita compound mitre saw

    Excellent build quality and brilliant results. I Can not believe how much cordless tools have come along. If your in the market for a quality mitre then this saw won’t let you down. It’s definitely comparable to the kapex saw in my opinion and at a much more competitive price.
