    Arrival

    A significant addition to any collection of Sci Fi movies. Mor of a suspence thinker than the usual laser laden space war fare. This movie tip toes into the shallow end of the difficult concept of non linear time without unnecessary convolutions and theorhetical geek speak through the eyes of a very real person, trying to comunicate with totally alien beings. Well written and played by director, cast and crew.

    For the first half of this picture you go on a sci fy ride. But then it stalls out and crashes you down to a confused ending. None of the expectations are met and you wind up with a bag of air instead of answers. The premise drags on and on with with an ending just as mysterious as the premise. By the end of movie I was glad it was over.

    Don't think the title was particularly indicative of the movie.

    I personally was not taken by this movie but my son had not seen it and asked for it for his birthday. That is the reason for this purchase. It is a matter of personal taste and I will be interested to hear if he liked this movie. I thought it was just OK.

    New and old mixed together....successfully

    Interesting take on the alien "invasion" thing, with a little bit of the old 50s and 60s sci fi elements thrown in for good measure. The drama was good and heartfelt. And Amy Adams is a DOLL!

    I don't really know how to explain this movie. I do like the actors but the movie was weird . I think it could of been better. That's all I can really say, sorry. Would I buy it again NO!!
