Good build quality
This is my first Scope and I had intended to purchase a used item to see if I could get on with a scope as opposed to binoculars for Bird Watching. When I saw this Scope for sale new, at such a good price, with excellent reviews on eBay and a Scope Review site I decided to buy one. The Scope was dispatched immediately and arrived a few days later. I was very surprised at the standard of build and good quality optics, it also comes with a very sturdy and practical case. I have so far only been able to try this briefly on a visit to the RSPB Dungeness (no tripod set-up yet!) but I was able to focus clearly on a Coot on the far side of a stretch if water. My Barr Stroud scope
I’ve had scopes in the past but not of this quality it’s probably the best one up to now I’ve ever had. I think what did it was the name Barr Stroud you see I’ve always had cheap scope yes they do the job but you’ve get a named product you just now the price was right for the product & with a ten year warranty ware can you go wrong brilliant don’t take my word for buy one & see

Target Archery
I use this for target archery - it's a great scope for Metrics/1440's, you can get the whole target in view at all distances and pick out your arrows clearly (assuming an 80cm face at 50m and below). The 80mm lens lets plenty of light in, much better than a 60mm budget supermarket scope. It might be a bit too powerful shooting 50-60 yards in a full size (122cm) face as you can only see blue-gold.
