The splitting cone is as described but caution is required when using it, especially with kiln dried hardwood logs. The sharp/coarse thread quickly engages and drives into the wood and a lot of force is required to hold the drill AND the wood to prevent them spinning out of control. I have reservations about using it to split, or attempting to split, logs or log segments exceeding 10cm. The splitter was competitively priced and delivered quickly.
