    The most organic of all

I have tried several octave dividers - H9, Axe FX, Whammy DT, and in my opinion this one sounds and feels best - for what it does. Tracks wonderfully - even speedy legato passages - and doesn't wobble. The added effects are a nice welcome, and the 8 presets are a great way to store your favorite settings. The operation is very intuitive, no need to read the manual. POG2 takes up some space on the pedalboard - keep that in mind. The build quality is a bit on the cheap side - especially for the price - but other than that I absolutely love this pedal.

  • This is simply the best Octave pedal available. All others pale next to it.

This is one of my favorite pedals. I have some very boutique, very coveted pedals in my board and studio. But this is the one I covet most. While I don't use the Octaves all the time, but it does have some additional features which make it much more usable than I thought it would be when I purchased it. It has a detune effect which makes it good for a chorus effect. The effects portion can be bypassed totally so if you don't like them they wont be in the chain. I like that it can do a really good Organ sound which is spot on for the organ at the church I play at. I have the Digitech Whammy, and the Boss OC3 Super Octave. This one beats them all any day of the week. It is true bypass, and has 8 programmable settings. It is much more expensive 324.00 as opposed to the 200.00 (Whammy) and ...

  • The POG2 is a Vatican assasin warlock (in a good way)

Since the original POG was released, the effects it delivered were considered truly unique and versatile. I've never seen another pedal that packs so many octave variations into one package. The release of the POG2 marks a big improvement over both the original POG and Micro POG for one reason: Presets. I owned the original POG and, while I could get the same great sounds from it (with the exception of the two octaves below), it took some tweaking to find that perfect blend. Therefore I eventually found just one sweet spot that I liked, and left it set in that position. The problem is, the POG and POG2 don't just have one sweet spot -- they have MANY. In order to utilize the full potential of the old POG, you had to spend a good bit of time on the floor fiddling around with the faders. ...

  • It's Red, it's Fun, it's POG2!

Warning!...The POG2 can be habit forming, and my right hand goes into instinctive crab-like postures every time I walk by it's blinking carcass!...Simply put, I hate switching from a six string to a twelve string in the middle of a set, and no one likes keeping one in tune either...So when someone told me the POG did a fair twelve string imitation, I gave it a try...It does indeed deliver the desired effect, but what struck me most was it's ability to sound as if an organ, an octave bass, a 12 string, and a harpsicord are playing in unison!...Musical scores like Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, Soul Kitchen, California Girls, She Said She Said, For Your Love, any song that has recorded layers of psychedelia are now within reach thanks to this thing, all with the touch of a button...You have ...

  • The POG2 or how my guitar sounded like an organ

This little gadget is awesome! It'll turn your guitar into a 12 string, a bass or a convincent organ with a move of the sliders (now i need a pedal that sounds like a rotating speaker). Ever wanted to make your guitar sound like a reverse recording? Got you covered on that as well! Add some distortion and it'll make some of the most massive sounds ever! Some of it's functions are similar to those of a Digitech Whammy but you can't do chords on that one because of it's poor tracking. However the Whammy has an expression pedal so you can bend the octaves and what not. It's a bit pricey for what it does tho. Electro Harmonix has some other fantastic marvelous pedals that manage to make even more exotic, mysterious and esoteric sounds for about $100 bucks less. So if you are on a search for ...
