About this product

Product Information

Air out the tights, slip on the mask, don the cape, and prepare to flex some muscles in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, an action role-playing game featuring the largest cast of costumed crusaders and mutant messiahs in a video game to date. Twenty Marvel superheroes have joined forces to combat the diabolical Dr. Doom and his Masters of Evil. The action will take players to Atlantis, the Skrull home world, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Heli-Carrier, and more as they guide a four-person party through 17 comic book-inspired locales. Moves include a flurry of air and ground strikes, from grapples and blocks to chargeable powers and deadly combos. Objects within the environment can also cause damage, and a choice of one- and two-handed weapons can help less extraordinary heroes mete out justice against throngs of enemies. The PSP version features four exclusive characters, ten exclusive comic-book missions, and an assortment of special challenge modes.

As players decide on which heroes to enlist in their super group, including such iconic characters as Spider-Man, Wolverine, The Thing, Captain America, Elektra, and Thor, they can customize their team's name, icon, and vehicle. The party's reputation will increase over time through heroic deeds and by successfully completing mission objectives, allowing players the opportunity to further enhance the team's or a specific character's attributes. The cast includes more than 140 comic book characters in total, many of which are available in the single-player storyline and can be unlocked for multiplayer action. The latter supports both cooperative and competitive battles, with in-game statistics tracked for each team as players earn experience points and receive powerful new equipment. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance also features unlockable bonus content, such as alternate costumes that modify a character's base statistics in the areas of defense, melee damage, and so forth.

Specifically asked the seller if there was anything wrong with the stuffed animal. They were unable to tell me if it smelled or had any issues. Item came, and the stuffed animal/inside of the package was soaking wet? Not sure why because it wasn’t raining and the package wasn’t wet. It reeked of cigarette smoke and was yellowed. And this was going to my 2 year old. Their only saving grace was they accepted my return quickly and seemed to have decent customer service.

    A Blast From the Past

One of the best games I've ever played on any console. I haven't played this game in years. It's good to play it again, and even better that the game's functioning properly.

  • A really great action game for PSP

What I like about this game is it's size. It's got a lot of playtime for a portable...although the PSP is pretty much on par with the PS2, so large, complicated games are totally possible. This port of Marvel Ultimate Alliance is perfect, even if it's not as pretty looking as it's console counterparts. I'm having a lot of fun playing through now. I like the amount of characters you can choose from, and I am having fun switching up my team as often as I can to see what each character can do. The graphics are still pretty got for the PSP, although sometimes things can get a little crazy when there are a lot of enemies on screen and things zoom out so you can't see small details. That's one of my few complaints, that the camera is zoomed out too far sometimes and things get harder to ...

  • An average game I mean it is just "okay'

I decided to buy this game because my best friend would not shut up about it. I knew it was probably going to be a lot like X-men Legends; however, I would be able to play as a bunch of Marvel Comic characters. The graphics on the PSP look really good. The movies and voice acting is really good too because they actually use some of the same voices as in the cartoons and other video games. The camera angle controls can be really frustrating sometimes. During gameplay you will find you will be pressing the X button a lot. A lot of the game involves defeating enemies and there is really no strategy to it. I was looking forward to an RPG with a little challenge and this game did not really give it to me. I play as really cool characters; however, I would be walking through stages and ...

  • Marvel: Ultimate Alliance PSP

A great game. Excellent PSP graphics and audio. You get to choose 4 of the greatest Marvel heroes - all of the Fantastic Four, 3 X-men, Thor, and many more. As always, the videos are where the PSP's graphics truly shine - they are amazing. The video that starts the game at the very beginning always gets me excited about playing. (It involves Spider-man fighting and being his unique, witty self; and Wolverine being incredibly bad-ass.) It has a good story where Doom gets a bunch of super-villains together to take over the world, which I'm half-way through and can't wait to finish. All in all, a great buy for fans of any Marvel heroes - young or old. (Also, no foul language or gruesome violence or anything else like that to worry about if you want to get this for kids.)

  • ULTIMATE is the right word!

you choose the hero you want to control. you hold the power to stop an ultimate alliance of evil. its an awesome game! my friends say its quite repetitive but not really coz you are running around with four heroes! just switch place with a hero of your choice and HUA-LA! a whole new ball game is at your hands. either be a shooter with iron man or be a brawler with Wolverine, or be both like storm! its cool! its fun and its definitely the ultimate alliance!
