Rumpole and the Summer of Discontent takes place during a time when everyone everywhere, is seemingly ready to go on strike. In Rumpole and the Right to Silence, the case is complicated by a secret society. In Rumpole at Sea, Hilda gets Rumpole to sea to give him a break from his bad streak of luck at court, only to find Rumpole confined on board with the dreaded Judge Graves, who is also on vacation.
