Top of the range paint for excellent price
Although sometimes they say that "you pay for what you get", I firmly believe Hammerite is the best metal paint out there having used it before, albeit it's not the cheapest, so I knew what I was getting quality wise. From previous experience it drys very quickly and lasts several years whereas with cheaper brands you have to repaint the gate or railings every year. For a 750ml tin, it's excellent value considering the Satin paint is more difficult to get and can even be a little bit more excellent. The product was promptly despatched and arrived less than 48 hours after purchase by courier. Disappointing.
I've used Hammerite products before many times and been satisfied with the application and finish. Not so this time. Application okay, but the finish, which should have been satin, was semi-gloss, despite vigorous stirring. Neither was the finish hammered in usual Hammerite style. I needed a hammered satin finish to match existing paint, so I had to repaint with another product. This may have been a one-off, but I can only judge on the tin I had. Classic Product
Easy to apply with good coverage. Satin finish gives my tired wrought iron fence a classic appearance. Will be interesting to see how it stands the test of time but should be decent as this is a quality product. Supplier, Smith & Allan also provided a first class service particularly as we are in the midst of a pandemic.

Its seems more than a paint!
Very good paint. It seems to be more than a paint, its almost as if it bonds to the suface rather than just dries. I have used three types and all have worked well. Recommended.
