This was the first fighting fantasy book I can remember buying back in 1985. Illustrated by the legendary Geoff Senior its story and pictures suck you in from the get go. I was so pleased to get this again on eBay after my original copy is lost to the decades.

Good fun in a shoot them up kind of way but I'm sure even the author would agree it is not as brilliant has his second SF game book, The Rings of Kether.
