    Old School Excellent Tools

    Needed to fit and set up a new carburettor on my Grandsons quad bike. These are great for this type of setup.

    Only if you're out of options

    If your having major issues with your carb this does help, the colour range works out at about 1 full turn before changing which isn't ideal but gets you close. Pros, easy to install and instructions are comprehensive. Cons, you might get shorting on a deep spark plug hole however use the plastic cover, you can split the tube from the mirror. Overall a good purchase however as per the title only if you have a stubborn carb (like I had) that you simply cannot setup by ear/plug colour

    An excellent tuning tool

    Really works well. Being able to see the spark flame whilst adjusting the carburettor makes all the difference to getting the mixture spot-on.

    ..just not for this model..

    I broke it before I had a chance to use it. the tip of the HT lead snapped the second time I connected it. the inside element of the Colortune became unlodged and from then on, the bike would not run. I have been able to systematically determine that I need the next richer pilot jet and maybe a couple of washers on each needle..
