    Perfect for Dorothy Sayer's Lord Peter Wimsey fans

    I've thoroughly enjoyed this version of the Lord Peter Wimsey stories by Dorothy Sayers. Edward Petherbridge is well cast as Lord Peter. Harriet Walters is wonderful too. Richard Morant who played Mr. Bunter, was most appealing. Having enjoyed Ian Carmichael as Lord Peter for years, I was eager to see romance come into the story.The British are so adept at dramatizing their native literature. The supporting cast were excellent and the attention to details as to dress, hair styles and customs just so. No one does it better.

    Classic Dorothy Sayers! This is a nice collection of her works. I usually don't like movies, TV specials etc of good books, but the BBC does a very good job of casting and sticking close to the authors characters and stories. Not disappointed in this collection!

    Detective Stories without soap opera drama

    We like reading the old British detective and murder mystery stories from Dorothy Sayers, Agatha Christie, et al… and these old shows are a fun follow up to the reading. Slower paced than modern cinema but still entertaining once you adjust your pace.
