    Best Civil War Book

    Written by military graduate instructors at West Point for courses on the Civil War, this book has the best overall description of the motivations of the war, its participants, and its battles. The best. And it's not overlong and reads like a novel. A remarkable book!

    The West Point History of the Civil War is fascinating reading. I've read many books on the Civil War, but discovered so many interesting facts I'd never heard of about this period in our nation. Well worth the purchase - and a great bargain.
