    A stroll back to simpler times with a huge cast of notable stars

    Although the movie may start off a little slow for some, I personally call this a classic, a must see once a year. The story lends of life, family, what's important and how all life is a chain. As the story picks up, you will find yourself laughing at some of zany antics, yet , yet there is a serious side. Walther Matthau's character, and by the way, the movie is directed by his son, who has a couple of cameo appearances, reflects on his late wife, and remembering asking her if she was happy. It dawns on him that had he really known her, he would have known if she was happy. Funny movie, but deep, I understand it is a take off of Truman Capote's life.

    Wonderful movie!!!

    Thought provoking, funny - & sad movie. Loved it!!! So many good characters in it. Plan on watching it again. They just don't make movies of this quality any more, sadly. Highly recommend!!!

    a harp that reflects human character

    i adore truman capote. he really writes and reflects on the human condition. also the film contains many great actors who do a superb job in their roles. if you are interested in small town life and the common man...GET THIS FILM. JWM

    easy to watch and not overly sad

    A very sweet story and easy to watch. Not overdramatic and/or too much to process. I enjoyed all the characters in this movie and recommend to anyone looking for a kind-hearted movie with believable characters.
