If you pinch this item using just two fingers, it plainly collapses flat (see the picture). This is because it is not a ferrule, but an imitation made of a very thin foil. It is not suitable for safe use as a bike brake cable ferrule. Do not let your brakes fail on the road because of this, buy something proper instead.

The ferrules arrived quickly, but they are just a touch tight for brake cable housing ends, and they are so thin that they crumple easily. I would not recommend these for long-term maintenance of your braking system.
