A+. The cost for the dvd and shipping were combined, which was great. The item was in great shape, as described. Quick response from seller. Item was sent Canada Post, to save costs, during the Christmas season so it took much longer than usual. No fault of the seller.

Thank you! Shipping was very fast. The seller graded it merely as "good", but I think it may be "very good". The price was low. It was protectively packaged for transport. I highly recommend this most trustworthy seller to all buyers without hesitation!

Jobs versus Gates - it doesn't get any better

Since Steve Jobs passed away in 2011 a couple of very interesting movies have come out about his life. Here is a great movie from the 1990s that focuses on the big rivalry between Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Really good acting and it will take you back to the earlier days of PCs and technology.

  • They started it all...

I loved this movie because I lived in San Ramon, CA back when this was going on and worked at Chevron. Our department got an Apple Lisa and we thought it was the greatest thing we had ever seen. Later I worked at an engineering company that had gone "Mac" with the little screens and frequent system bombs. This was like a trip down memory lane. These 2 guys did literally change the world, but the unsung hero to me is still Steve Wozniak...the brains behind the hype. One of the best scenes is their trip to IBM, or was it HP, where they are totally ignored as being harmless computer geeks. They literally walked away with everything. Priceless!

  • A poorly made movie - makes you wish you pirated it...

Prior to watching Pirates of Silicon Valley I read Steve Wozniak's book (iWoz) & Bill Gates' Biography so I was fortunate enough to have background knowledge on many of the topics covered. However if it were not for my background knowledge I would not have understood the importance of the Blue-box moment and the highway patrol or the Television signal scrambler or many related moments. Even if your approach is just to watch an entertaining story devoid of facts; I still think that it fell short. Every character appears to be one-dimensional and you never really get a feel for the characters outside of the one role that they're allowed to fulfill. The story also attempts to encompass a large span of time in a short movie. They focus on so many details and then ...

  • Pirates of Silicon Valley (2005, DVD)

I got pirates of silicon valley because of the history of how the both computers PC & Mac came about and how it is based on the events of Bill Gates & Steve Jobs and how they changed the Computer World forever Plus I love Computers alot ever since I put my eyes on a Computer I alway's felt I had to have one but at that time they were too expensive. I don't dislike anything about the Movie I also want to buy Triumph of the Nerds which is based on how it happend by accident with Bill Gates & Steve Jobs and how they made history forever in the computer world. Why did I buy it? I got Pirates of Silicon Valley because I remember watching it the very 1st time On TNT when it aired back in 1999 plus I wanted it for a long time to add it to my DVD collection for anybody that ...

  • A must-see.

This movie should be required viewing whether you ask "What's a computer?" or know how to code. Both Noah Wyle and Anthony Michael Hall nailed it. Uncanny performances. Much more engaging and interesting a watch than The Social Network. The soundtrack was a little on the loud side, but the acting and story here are fantastic. Highly recommended.
